New Foam Core Terrain
I know it's been a long time since my last post but back surgery will do that to you. To get back into the swing of things I made another foam core building from Tommygun's Paper Models.

Command Decision 15mm Shermans
I just finished painting 3 Shermans I bought from Command Decision. I gave them a coat of grey primer then painted them with Vallejo Brown Violet. Next, I gave them a wash followed up with a highlight of Brown Violet and sealed them a gloss finish. I then applied some decals I had and finished them off with a matt varnish. They may not win any painting awards but I was able to knock them out fairly quickly and they look really good on the gaming table.

Free Paper Buildings
I recently ran across this website Model Paper World. It has paper models of just about everything from buildings like IKEA and Andy's Guns from the movie Dawn of the Dead to office furniture and dumpsters. The items range from modern to Sci-Fi and even has a space ship and a zeppelin to build. The best part of the website is that all these models are free to download. I made this one and it only took me a couple of hours while I watched TV in the background.

28mm Barbed Wire Tutorial
I decided I needed to make some barbed wire for 28mm gaming for both World Wars and beyond. I did not have much trouble with this project and I consider myself an amateur at best. This build comes down to time. As they say time is money. Not counting drying times this took me about 4 hours which I don't think is too bad. I could have bought ready to go barbed wire but I enjoy creating terrain as much as I enjoy war gaming.

After The Horsemen by 2 Hour Wargames Review
After The Horsemen, by 2 Hour Wargames was recently released and I decided to bite the bullet and ordered it. I'm familiar with the Chain Reaction system having played Nuts! and Six Gun Sound so I knew I would be able to get into it easily. I'm a fan of the post-apocalyptic genre having bought both Fallout 3 (Fallout 3 was released on my wedding day so I had to buy it) and Fallout: New Vegas and I've wanted to play a miniatures game in the apocalypse. I had read online that 2HW was coming out with one so I held out.

Chalk Outline for The Department Turorial
The third mission in The Department has you investigating a murder and you need a chalk outline to mark the location of the body. I took a base I had bought from Litko, painted it black and hand-painted a white outline of a body. In all, it took me about 10 minutes and about 25 cents and I'm pretty happy with the results.
The Department: Goalsystem Noir Investigation Skirmish Reveiw
I recently received my print copy of The Department and have had a chance to go over the rules and play a couple games. Overall I'm very impressed with the book. I've read a few people on the Internet say that they were disappointed with the artwork in the book and except for one or two pictures I like the art very much. The artwork gives the book a great noir feel especially the cover art. My main concern with the layout of the book is there is no index at the back of the book making it hard to find a specific rule you need.

Tunnels And Trolls Solo RPG Review
Over the years I've played lots of different RPG's from Dungeons and Dragons to Star Wars to a few different Gurps games and much more. I've enjoyed them all and have found that some of the best games were more about the people I was playing with and not the game I was playing. When I think about a pen and paper RPG my mind always thinks group games and not solo games.
