Let's Play Thornguard For Tunnels And Trolls Chapter 2

Last time our level 3 human warrior Thordam did some adventuring in the city of Thornguard in my Tunnels and Trolls campaign. I'm currently using the free rule set and if I like it enough I'll be buying the new Deluxe rules that are coming out. Today he will be going treasure hunting into Fyre Castle.

Thordam has decided to pick up a few supplies before going to Fyre Castle and because he fell asleep before talking to Hector he goes to find him first. He sees that the merchant already has his stand setup. he gives Thordam a smile as he approaches.

Let's Play Thornguard For Tunnels And Trolls Chapter 1

After my review of the solo adventure Thornguard for Tunnels and Trolls I decided to dig up my character and give it a try. I will be using the free rules that you can download from Drive Thru RPG. I've enjoyed playing with the free rules and I'll probably buy the new deluxe rulebook once it comes out.

My level 3 human warrior Thordam wakes up in his room at the Cow and Butcher Inn. Thordam gets dressed and makes his way to the common area to see an elf women cooking breakfast. He gets a plate of food and sits down with the merchants to eat and have a chat. One of the merchants, Hector, says that he's from the Kingdom of Spirewood in Thornguard to sell his wares. He tells Thordam how on the way here he fell off his horse during his journey to Thornguard and broke his left arm. The merchant asks Thordam if he would be will to help setup his tents and in return he would give him 10% of his earnings for the day.

Getting Your Kids Into Gaming With Books

My daughter, who is eight, has always wanted to play some of the games I play but for the most part, I think they would be too much for her. She does enjoy reading books so I thought of a way to introduce into gaming through books.

I went digging and found all my old Choose Your Own Adventure books. These books play very much like solo adventures. You read a bit of the story and are given a choice to go left or right. Each direction has a corresponding page to turn to allow you to become a more interactive participant in the book. There isn't a ton of depth to the stories and each book only has a handful of endings but it is perfect for someone her age. It allows her to play a role-playing game, albeit one at its most basic level, and experience how an RPG story is played.

Castle Wolfenstein (Commodore 64) Review

The very first gaming system I ever played was my dad's Commodore 64 and out of all the games I played on it my favorite was Castle Wolfenstein. If you've never heard of this game I'm sure you heard of the game it inspired, Wolfenstein 3D from 1992, which was one of the earliest and most popular first-person shooters.

Litko Gun Reload Markers

Litko makes lots of cool stuff for the wargamer. From movement trays to bases to supplies for the hobby enthusiast they have just about everything you'll ever need. I bought some bases form them and decided to get these ammo reload markers as well. Do I really need them? Probably it's one less thing I need to worry about while playing a game making games play quicker. I mostly use them when playing 2 Hour Wargames to make if anyone runs out of ammo. I could use anything but I liked these so I got them.

Dragon Warrior for NES Review

Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest in the rest of the world) is an RPG released by Churnsoft and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1989. It was one of the first RPGs released on the NES and was most likely the first RPG played by many people of that era because the Nintendo Power magazine gave it away with a subscription.

Donald Duck from Disney Infinity 2.0 Review

For my review of Disney Infinity, you can click here.

When I bought the Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel starter set I had to buy Donald Duck even though he doesn't work in that game. I always liked him the best out of all the Disney characters. I always liked the duck characters the most and Donald was my favorite, the way he could go from calm to anger explosion always made me laugh.

Let's Play Classic Traveller RPG Chapter 1

If you liked this custom Traveller book picture check out The Zhodani Base for lots of cool Traveller stuff!

I've heard about Traveller over the years but I never had a chance to play it. Besides the basic premise of the game setting the one thing that I knew was it's the RPG that can kill you during character creation and that intrigued me. Who does that? The classic Traveller Little Black Books sounded like a lot of fun but I never bought it until now.

Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Guardians Of The Galaxy Play Set Review

For my review of Disney Infinity, you can click here.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy playset for Disney Infinity 2.0 is the third and last playset for Marvel 2.0. The story is based upon the 2014 Guardians Of The Galaxy movie with bits from the comic books added in as well. The main story takes under 5 hours to complete and like the rest of the Infinity line is geared toward children but can be played and enjoyed by adults as well.
