In order to have a great tv show/cartoon/toy line you need a great bad guy for the good guys to struggle against and I think Masters Of The Universe hit a home run when inventing Skeletor. People who have no knowledge of MOTU can probably name a character or two but everyone knows Skeletor, for a property that hasn't really been in the public eye since the 1980s he's still mentioned tons of non-related tv shows. Today I'll be fighting a duel in the skies between two new planes that I've recently purchased. I'll be flying the British RAF Se5a flown by James Thomas Byford McCudden, the British top ace of WW1 with 57 planes shot down and is also one of the top British aces of all time. Against him will be a new Austrian two-seater the UFAG C.1. Both of these planes were from late in the war and I think it will be a good match between a quick scout plane and a two-seater.

Today I'm very happy to bring you my first review of the new Masters Of The Universe Origins toy line by Mattel. For my first action figure review, I had to go with the big guy He-Man, The Most Powerful Man In The Universe. Unlike the Masters Of The Universe Classics toy line that was designed for adult collectors, this line is designed to be modern recreation of the original toys, basically the 80s toys with modern articulation. Will He-Man and this new toy line become a cash cow for Mattel like the original toy line was?

Hero Forge Full-Color Custom Miniature Kickstarter Review

Back in February of this year, Hero Forge had a Kickstarter end for a custom prepainted 32mm miniature. I think anyone who plays with miniatures, particularly around the 28-32mm range, eventually wants a miniature of themselves. I've been on the fence for a few years now about ordering my own miniature from them and when I found out that they had a Kickstarter for a custom miniature that would also be prepainted when printed I figured it was time to order a MiniMe.

I've been to my local Wal-Mart twice since the world shut down, the first time I lucked out and found two of the rereleased Ghostbuster figures from the 1980s. On Monday she said she needed to do some shopping and asked me to come along so I agreed thinking that it would give me the change to go to the toy aisle and see if they have anything new and interesting that I may like and let me tell you I hit the jackpot.

Today I have the results of the Propstores Live Auction from August 26-27 2020, particularly the Masters Of The Universe memorabilia results.

I wasn't sure how the pandemic would affect the prices and from what I can see it had no change as every MOTU piece sold for higher than the estimate except two that sold for the minimum and one selling for three thousand dollars above.

Wings Of Glory Dogfight (2 Sopwith Camels Vs 2 Albatros D.Va) AAR #5

In today's match, I switch it up a little with a four-plane dogfight. On the Allied side will be two Sopwith Camels, one flown by Canadian Ace Arthur Roy Brown (I'll be flying this plane which is light green) while the other Camel is flown by Belgian ace Jan Olieslager (Dark Green). On the Central Powers side is two Albatros D.Va's, one flown by German Ace Ernst Udet (Black) with the other flown by Karl Friedrich Kurt Jentsch (Yellow and Green).

In this match, I'll be piloting Brown's Camel while the other three planes will be flown using the solo rules developed by Herkybird of the Tyneside Wargamers website. I will be using all of the optional rules in the rulebook for this dogfight.

Silent Victory: US Submarines in the Pacific, 1941-45 Board Game Introduction

I've recently gotten into naval warfare for the first time in my life, particularly WW2 submarine action. I'm mostly interested in the U-Boat battles in the Atlantic and the US in the Pacific so to satisfy my submarine wargaming cravings I purchased the game U-BOOT. Unfortunately for me, the game came in the mail the day before Hurricane Isaias hit and knocked power out for a week and the game requires a phone or tablet to play and I couldn't spare the power to play the game. Plus it's pretty complicated and I wanted to watch some videos online to see how it plays. So for this reason I went in search of a submarine game I could play if I had no power and I found Silent Victory from GMT Games.

Masters Of The Universe: The Motion Picture Mexican Lobby Card

About ten years ago I found this lobby card on eBay and bought it, I can't remember exactly but I paid less than 10 dollars shipped for it so all in all pretty inexpensive. When I bought this it was listed as a Mexican lobby card but other than being in Spanish I cannot confirm nor deny that this is from Mexico. This lobby card measures 17 3/4 inches by 11 5/8 inches (45 cm by 29.5 cm) and is made out of thin paper more similar to printer paper than either a movie poster or a lobby card made out of photographic paper.
