Original Comic Book Donatello Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Action Figure Review

Last year I found Leonardo and Michelangelo from this line on clearance at Toys R Us and picked them up. Of course, I had to get the others and I came across Donatello brand new for 14 dollars shipped so I picked him up.

Today we have a review of The Samurai Usagi Yojimbo from the Tales Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure line. Usagi Yojimbo comes from his own comic book series of the same name by Stan Sakai which was first published in 1984, the same year as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Since their original crossover in the comic books, Usagi has appeared in many episodes of TMNT cartoons and comic books.

Brutal Shredder Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Action Figure Review

This is my review of Brutal Shredder from the currently TMNT action figure line. He had been on my list as one of the figures that I wanted to get. I was in the store the other day and they had just put out a new case of Turtles figures so after a few minutes of digging I found Shredder and adopted him into my action figure family.

A Veterans Day Tribute To My Grandfather

Both of my grandfathers served during World War II but this post will be about my mother's father. As I've mentioned before my mom is currently fighting cancer and because of this she's been going through all her possessions and giving them to members of our family even though she hasn't been given a death sentence from her doctors. One item she pulled out was her father's army uniform so I decided to write about his service.

World Series Baseball (Sega Genesis) Review

Well, the 2017 World Series is underway so I felt that it was a perfect time to pull out World Series Baseball.

World Series Baseball is a game by BlueSky Software and published by Sega for the Sega Genesis in 1994. This is the first baseball game I ever played that had the camera behind home just like how the batter sees the ball. I remember my brother and I would rent it every chance we got because compared to the over the top perspective most other baseball games had at the time World Series Baseball made us feel like we were at-bat and not just playing a video game but does it hold up today?? Click below to find out.

Cubs Lose Chance For Consecutive World Series Runs

Well, the Chicago Cubs 2017 campaign has come to an end, as well as the New York Yankees, leaving the Houston Astros vs the Los Angeles Dodgers. This is the first World Series the Dodgers have been in since 1988 with the memorable walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth by Kirk Gibson (I replayed the 1988 World Series in Strat-O-Matic so check that out if you're interested.)

Minecraft 2.0 "Better Together" Update (Xbox One) Review

Microsoft has released a brand new version of Minecraft for the Xbox One, mobile, virtual reality, and Windows 10. This new version has lots of new content and fixes to the game but the biggest change is that the platforms that I listed above will be able to play on the same servers across all the platforms. This review is about the single-player game and doesn't talk about Realms or servers as I haven't played them yet.

Abby Yates Ghostbusters (2016) Action Figure Review

The 2016 Ghostbusters movie has come and gone. I did not like the movie and I'm a man but my wife is a woman and did not like it as well and she's a die-hard fan of the original movie. Sony took some quotes from a few idiots on YouTube and turned it into a huge deal when there really wasn't one. The Ghostbuster being women didn't bother me at all as long as it was funny and except for a few jokes, this movie wasn't funny.

Mega Construx Heroes He-Man Masters Of The Universe Review

The other day I was at the store buying school supplies for my daughter, the same day I found Mutant XL Donatello, and my wife spotted these new Masters Of The Universe toys. I've been a big fan of Masters Of The Universe since I was a kid so He-Man and Skeletor came home with me.

VETTE! (PC) Review

VETTE! is an open world racing game by Sphere and published by Spectrum Holobyte in 1989 for MS-DOS and later on the Apple Macintosh. In this game, you race your Corvette against opponents in other supercars.

I love cars. Every job I've ever had involved cars in one way or another. I've driven Ferrari's, Bentley's, Aston Martins, and everything in between. When I found a Delorean for sale near me I went to the bank to secure financing to buy it but I was too slow. I've looked around for a Yugo but I live in the North East and the winters have rotted away all of them around me. Except for the very first car I bought which needed a mechanic to fix some suspension parts for the safety inspection, I've fixed all of the mechanical issues that have come up that weren't warranty work. One time I was at a speed shop buying headers for my Mustang and I came across a cardboard box full of car magazines from the 1980s, I asked if they were for sale and when I was told they were I bought the whole box. I think at this point you can tell that I love cars.

Cleaning Video Games Tutorial

I love the hunt for used video games because you never know what you'll find. One thing you do find though is that used games are usually dirty and covered with stickers. I'm a bit OCD about my games and I can not stand the ugly Gamestop yellow stickers that they have plastered all over their used games so I've had a lot of practice cleaning up video games.

TMNT Donatello 1/4 Scale Action Figure 1990 Movie Version Review

I came across these Nano Metalfigs at Wal-Mart the other day and I was intrigued. Besides Harry Potter minis they also had WWE wrestlers, Street Fighter, DC, Marvel, and Disney characters. I could be missing some but that's what I saw on the shelves. Nano Metalfigs are pre-painted metal miniatures based upon existing and popular lines and only cost 97 cents!

TMNT Mutant XL Donatello Action Figure Review

So I was out shopping with my wife for back to school stuff for my daughter. Well, I quickly became bored with it so I set course for the toy department. I made it to the ninja turtles and was about to buy myself a Raphael from the Nickelodeon cartoon when I saw this big Donatello. I've been buying big Donatellos lately, which you'll be seeing more of later, so I put Raphael back and chose Donny.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles NECA Comic Con 2009 April O'Neil Mirage Comics Version Review

When I was growing up I spent a lot of money on action figures but as I shifted from the role of kid to adult I had less interest and less money than in my younger days. Now that I'm settled into the role of adult, and father, I can start to buy some of the cooler action figures that are out now. I remember when NECA released the original Mirage Comics TMNT line, I loved them immediately and wanted to get them but they had sold out quickly and they were already selling on the internet at a decent markup. I wish I could go back in time and pay those prices. For anyone out there that sees something that they like, I always say buy it because it's always going to cost more years later.

100K Achievement Points!

It took me nine years but I've finally hit 100,000 Achievement Points. I know I've mentioned in my Video Games Beaten in 2015 and Video Games Beaten in 2016 posts that I was going to stop worrying about achievement points and focus on just playing the games but this is still cool.

The Army Painter Wargames Hobby Toolkit Review

If there is one thing needed while taking up the hobby of wargaming is tools. Unless you only by miniatures and terrain that is ready to use you're going to need supplies and lots of them which is where the Hobby Tool Kit comes in. Wargamers that are new will get a lot of use out of these tools but the grizzled veteran who needs some new tools can also get a lot of use from this toolkit.

Tecmo Baseball (NES) Review

Great Cover.
Tecmo Baseball is a game developed by Tecmo and released on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in January of 1989. Tecmo Bowl, Tecmo's football game, on the NES was one of the best sports games for that console and I know I played it a lot as a kid. I honestly don't remember if I ever played this one, I just can't remember. Is it because I had played it and can't recall it now because it wasn't a very good game?

Street Rod: The Card Game Kickstarter

One of my all time favorite car racing games was Street Rod and it's sequel. It's a simple but very fun game to play with classic cars from the 50's and 60's. I remember when I was in school someone had uploaded this game to the schools server and anytime I could I would fire it up and race for pinks.

Small Adobe Building Terrain

As work continues on my Old West project I decided that I'd build some adobe style buildings to help break up all the wood buildings on the table. Eventually, I'd like enough terrain to make a full wooden and adobe town which would allow me to mix and match creating many different cities.
