Last year I found Leonardo and Michelangelo from this line on clearance at Toys R Us and picked them up. Of course, I had to get the others and I came across Donatello brand new for 14 dollars shipped so I picked him up.
A few years ago the toy company NECA released the action figures for the four turtles just like they looked in the original comic books. By the time I leaned of their existence they were sold out and already cost a lot on the secondary market so I didn't get them. I'll say right now that when compared to the NECA turtles this line is inferior but they are still nice figures to get your hands on.
Accessories wise Donatello comes only with his staff which is kind of lame but what are you going to do about it.
The four turtles from this this line all share the same body, the only difference is they all have their own head sculpt. I don't have a huge problem with this but because of it, the turtles cannot attach their weapons to the belts. I really like the sculpts and each comes with 11 points of articulation which isn't too bad. They have pretty big feet which makes standing them in different poses pretty easy. The only problem I have with Donatello is that it's very hard to pose him with his staff in both of his hands.
Since all four turtles have the same body they also have the same height. When comparing this Donatello to the current TV show cartoon figure he's a bit smaller and a bit larger than Michelangelo so he fits in just fine.
Donatello also came with a nice looking card and an exclusive "Super Vanish" feature for the TMNT Danger Of The Ooze video game. If you plan on playing this game at the title screen hit Right, Left, Down, Up, Right, Left and "Super Vanish" will be yours.
Now I know that this Donatello is from the Playmates toys line and April and the mouser are from the NECA toy line but it's close enough so here's how they look together.
I have to say I like this figure and besides the issue I had with his staff I'm very happy with him. If you like the original comic books I recommend that you seek out these figures before they start to rise in price like the NECA figures did. I give Donatello and 7 out of 10.
