Video Games Beaten In 2016
Happy New Year everyone!! I think it's safe to say that 2016 was a pretty terrible year, besides the Cubs winning the World Series, so let's make 2017 better. Now before I go off topic let's get back to my video gaming in 2016.
To see how I did yesterday click Video Games Beaten In 2015.
Last year I beat 32 games which I thought wasn't too bad. My goal for 2016 was to beat 40 games and did I do it? No. There are a couple of reasons for this and I'll go over them quickly. First off I started a new job and with lots of training and traveling, I just didn't have much time over the last few months.
Battlefield 1 is another reason, multiplayer is so great that I've played little else since it came out. It's so good in fact that I've not even finished the single player campaign. Also throughout the year, I've played a lot of Minecraft and it's taken a lot of my free time.
And finally what it comes down to is time. I just didn't have the free time that I've had in years past. I've hardly had the time to even play any tabletop wargames. I didn't get some painting and modeling done but not as much as I wished to.
Now that all that's out of the way let's get to the games.

Overall I think I did poorly, I didn't even equal my number from last year. I know I could have padded it out with some games that I'm near completing, lots of times a new game will come out and I drop what I'm playing for that one, a big example of that would be Battlefield 1.
I finished the most games on the Xbox One with 11 games which make sense because I bought it this year. Also unsurprising was the second most games beaten was on the Xbox 360 with 8 games. Even though they aren't making games for it anymore each month Microsoft gives me two free 360 games and you've got to play free games, or at least give them a try.
Even though I played most of my games on the Xbox One I did beat a few on other consoles. I finished one game on the original Xbox. Other than that I did beat three games, one for Arcade, one for the Nintendo 64 and one for the ZX Spectrum, but they don't completely count as I played them on my Xbox One as part of the Rare Replay compilation. You can take that any way that you'd like.
Anyway, for this year my goal is to hit 34 which would beat my best year of 2015.
