Let's Play Minecraft On Xbox Episode 4

OK, since my last update there have been some changes. The biggest being that I bought an Xbox One. The second is the update that was recently released. Due to both issues I have launched a new world that I'll be playing. I was already missing a bunch of stuff from updates that came after I started my world and in Xbox One the worlds are 16 times bigger than they are in the 360 version so I felt that It was a good time to start anew.

If you missed Episode 3 you can click here.

This here is the very first thing I saw in my new world.

I'll be playing this on survival hard and because the bad guys will be coming for me when the sun goes down I began by digging down and I didn't stop until I hit bedrock. My daughter asked me why I always dig down to build stuff and I really couldn't give her a good answer. I guess I'm more dwarven than elven.

I have no supplies so my first job will be to mine some iron and then some diamonds to make the mining go quicker. I always go down and then mine. I go down to level 12, I read somewhere that it is the best level to find diamonds. I don't know if that's true but it's a place to start.

I made a little section with small rooms for each of the different materials I gather. I kind of went nuts with the polished stone but this was the first time I was able to use it.

Another thing new to me was horses. I had a bunch all around me when I started and I tamed the first one I found and built a little fence around him to keep him safe. To be truthful it was my second horse because the first one disappeared. In a cave I found two saddles and three sets of horse armor including gold so now my horse is looking good. His name is Elmer because he knows his fate if he goes against me.

Elmer

I've been playing Minecraft a lot on my new Xbox a lot so I have lots of material to blog about. See you next time!
