I recently added Chip to my collection of Funko's Disney Afternoon toy line which already includes Dale and Scrooge McDuck. While I liked those toys that I mentioned, I'm starting to have issues with the remaining figures in this line.
Chip is part of the Chip and Dale chipmunk combination. I love Donald Duck cartoons and the best ones, at least for me, is when either the nephews or the chipmunks are screwing around with him. In our family, the pinnacle of these cartoons is the one called Donald Applecore where the chipmunks are trying to steal all of Donald's apples. My mother and I would quote the lines from this cartoon since I first saw it in the 80s. There is nothing funnier than when Donald escalates the situation by making a atomic bomb to stop the chipmunks.
And it was because of my love for those cartoons when the Disney Afternoon started one of my favorites was Chip N Dales Rescue Rangers.
As you can see Chip looks great, Funko did a very good job of translating cartoon characters into 3D toys. Unfortunately what you see in the above picture is all you get with this action figure. As I mentioned when I was reviewing Brutal Shredder I think when paying for a 10 dollar figure you'd get at least one accessory with it. The original TMNT toy line came with a ton of crap, their regular weapons, throwing stars, and those triangley pointed knife things, I don't know what they are called. Chip comes with Chip and nothing else.
Despite my whining about accessories I do really like Chip and he's earned a place on the shelf with Dale and the others. If you like the toy I recommend picking him up. I give Chip a 6 out of 10.
