In 5 starts this season Garcia has thrown 41 innings while allowing 37 hits, 11 walks, 32 strikeouts for an ERA of 3.05. The Orioles have Miguel Gonzales (7-8) on the mound today. In 20 starts this season he pitched 113 innings while giving up 91 hits, 39 walks, 90 strikeouts for an ERA of 3.27.

Hello and welcome to Game 143 of my 2012 Strat-O-Matic New York Yankees season replay. Today the Yankees play game 2 of a 4 game series against their division rivals the Orioles in Baltimore.

In 17 starts this season Lowe has thrown 105 innings while giving up 138 hits, 52 walks,49 strikeouts for an ERA of 5.64. On the mound for the Orioles today is Wei-Yin Chin (11-7) who has started 26 games this season and thrown 166 innings while allowing 169 hits, 57 walks, 134 strikeouts for an ERA of 3.93.

Hello and welcome to the second war patrol of the Narwhal class USS Narwhal (SS-167). If you miss the Narwhal's first war patrol you can click here to find out what happened.

The Narwhal pulled into the Pearl Harbor pens in early February in 1942 and after a quick two-week refit the Narwhal is fully loaded and ready for its next war patrol. Naval Command has chosen the Narwhal to head to the heart of the Japanese Empire and patrol off their coast.

Hello and welcome to Game 142 of my 2012 Strat-O-Matic New York Yankees season replay. Today the Yankees travel to Baltimore to play a series against their division rivals the Orioles. If you missed the Yankees' previous game you can click here for game 141.

The Yankees have David Robertson (2-0) on the mound today. In 3 starts this season Robertson has thrown 40 innings while allowing 28 hits, 7 walks, 48 strikeouts for an ERA of 2.04. The Orioles have (Future Cub) Jake Arrieta (2-0) starting today who has started 2 games this season and thrown 13 innings while allowing 14 hits, 1 walk, and 9 strikeouts for an ERA of4.97.

Wings Of Glory Dogfight #9 French Nieuport 11 VS Albatros D.III

 

Recently Ares Games reprinted some of the terrain mats and I was able to get a Noman's Land mat without having to pay hundreds of dollars so to celebrate I had to break some planes out and get them in the air over noman's land. In today's dogfight, I'll be piloting a French Nieuport 11 (this is the first time I've ever used this plane) flown by Jean Chaput while my opponent will be flying a German Albatros D.III with Kurt Gruber behind the stick.

I'll be trying something new with this dogfight. A fan of Wings Of Glory has produced an app that controls AI planes when playing solo. I used it during this dogfight and it worked out very well and I plan to continue using it in future games. Strat-O-Matic 2012 New York Yankees Replay Game 141

 

Hello and welcome to Game 141 of my 2012 Strat-O-Matic New York Yankees season replay. Today the Yankees play the third and final game of the series against their division rivals the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankees have won the first two games so they've already won the series so for today's game they are going for a sweep of the Rays.

If you missed the Yankees' previous game you can click here for Game 140. On the mound for the Yankees today is Ivan Nova (2-7). In 13 starts this season Nova has thrown 90 innings while surrendering 128 hits, 32 walks, 86 strikeouts for an ERA of 6.42. If you've followed my Yankees replay you know that Ivan Nova has been just terrible. In his real 2012 season, Nova went (12-8) and started 28 games while pitching 170 innings. In those 170 innings, he gave up 194 hits, 56 walks, and 153 strikeouts for an ERA of 5.02. In real life, he wasn't great but he was much better than he's played for me. Every time I put him in he seems to lose so I've only used him is in the bullpen when we are winning or losing badly and I need someone to eat some innings to save my better pitchers. Today is Nova's final chance as a starter this season so we'll see how it goes today.

The Rays have David Price (11-11) on the mound. In 29 starts this season he's pitched 177 innings while allowing 147 hits, 61 walks, 167 strikeouts for an ERA of 2.84. It looks like Nova will have his work cut out for him today.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Magazine - Summer 1987 Review

During the prime of  He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe in the 1980s, I was very young without my own money so I could only get things if my parents would buy them for me. At the time my parents didn't have a ton of money and if I was allowed to pick something out at the store I would go for a new action figure every time compared to a magazine, that is until I grew up a bit and started to read more. Because of this I never had any of the MOTU magazines from the 80s but I know for a fact if I'd seen this issue at the stores I would have begged for it since it had the movie He-Man on the cover.

Silent Victory USS Narwhal War Patrol 1

 

Hello and welcome to the first War Patrol of the USS Narwhal (SS-167), a brand new submarine that is a new class of submarines based upon a modified Tambor class submarine. We've been playing the War Patrols of the USS Tambor but I've stopped those missions for now since they survived to 1943 and I'm planning on playing each submarine one year at a time so today we begin the USS Narwhal.

Hello and welcome to Game 140 of my 2012 Strat-O-Matic New York Yankees season replay. Today the Yankees play game two against their division rivals the Tampa Bay Rays in Florida.

If you missed the Yankees' previous game you can click here for Game 139.  For today's game, the Yankees starter is Phil Hughes (11-9). Hughes has started 32 games this season and thrown 182 innings while giving up 187 hits, 46 walks, 125 strikeouts for an ERA of 4.21. The Rays have James Shields (11-14) on the mound who has started 27 games and pitched 190 innings while surrendering 186 hits, walked 47, and struck out 165 for an ERA of 3.69. 

Blog Update August 2021

Hello all, I'm back. With a combination of health problems and issues in my personal life, I just haven't had time to play any games or work on this blog but I hope to change that starting now.

I've bought some action figures that I need to review. I also bought some new stuff for Wings Of Glory since Ares Games has just re-released items that have been sold out for years so if you're interested in any of them I'd buy it now before they're sold out again and the prices explode.
