Strat-O-Matic 2013 Windows Game Review

Strat-O-Matic just released their 2013 game which is all the stats from the 2012 season. I bought both the card set as well as the Windows computer version. As far as game play goes it's the same game just one is played with player cards on a table with dice and the other is played fully with the computer. I've had it for about a week now and all I can say is that I love the Windows version. The game tracks all the stats for every play made and then some and for that alone I would recommend the computer version. If you've never played Strat-O-Matic you can click here for my board game review.

All Things Zombie by Two Hour Wargames Indiegogo Crowd Funding Campaign

The folks at 2 Hour Wargames are getting into the crowdfunding game with a company I haven't heard of  Indiegogo which seems to be similar to Kickstarter. I haven't bought All Things Zombie yet but I have been planning on getting it and it looks like now is the time.

Empire of the Dead: Requiem Kickstarter

West Wind Productions is gearing up to produce the second part of their game Empire of the Dead called Requiem. Empire of the Dead is a Victorian Steam Punk miniature game. For those of you who do not know Kickstarter is a way for people who want to create anything from games to movies to music without taking a lot of risk. The creator determine how much money needs to be raised in order for their project to work and ask people to pledge money to produce it. The money you pledge is not taken until the end of a certain time and only if the amount of money needed to launch project is met. Usually when a person pledges money they get bonuses such as price breaks on the items being produced so Kickstarter is a win win for all parties.

Strat-O-Matic Baseball Board Game Review

I've been a baseball fan all my life but after the strike in 1994 I started to lose interest and combine that with life pulling me this way and that way baseball moved to the back burner in my life. This fall I happened to turn on the World Series and that was all it took for the game to pull me back in.
