Toy Animal Miniatures

One of the reasons that I played Episode 2 of my After The Horsemen Campaign with graph paper was because I didn't have animal miniatures. So one day I found some plastic animals that my daughter had. She said she didn't want them anymore so I took them so this post I'll show you how I improved them for the table.

Cleaning Video Games Tutorial

I love the hunt for used video games because you never know what you'll find. One thing you do find though is that used games are usually dirty and covered with stickers. I'm a bit OCD about my games and I can not stand the ugly Gamestop yellow stickers that they have plastered all over their used games so I've had a lot of practice cleaning up video games.

Tiger I Tank By Warlord Games Review And Tutorial

Out of all the World War II tanks the Tiger I was one of the best so when I decided I needed a German tank it was the first one I thought of. It has been depicted in many movies over the years including the cool German tank at the end of Saving Private Ryan which was a (faux) Tiger I. In Fury, the Brad Pitt movie from 2014, there is a Tiger I but it was an actual tank that had been restored making it the first Tiger in a movie for almost 70 years. Plus it just looked cool so I had made up my mind.

Also when playing NUTS! by Two Hour Wargames when allied soldiers see an enemy tank they always panic and think it's a Tiger, that's the kind of reputation they had and since NUTS! is my go to World War II game it made sense to pick it.

28mm Hedgerow Tutorials

I've been playing World War 2 games for years now and most of the games I've played would take place around D-Day in France. One of the biggest issues the allied soldiers ran into was hedgerows. I have zero hedgerows and I've been meaning to make some for years and I decided that today was the day.

Spawn Villagers In Minecraft Without Eggs Tutorial

As I mentioned in Episode 1 of my Minecraft Let's Play my world was started before villagers were introduced and I didn't want to switch to creative and use spawn eggs so I had to come up with a better solution. Not only will this method get you villagers without any cheats it will also get you an achievement called Zombie Doctor which is for curing a zombie villager.

World Works Games Mayhem Streets Of Legend Review And Tutorial

One thing that my miniature terrain is missing is roads and I decided it was time to rectify this. There were a couple of ways I could have gone but in the end, I decided to by the Mayhem Streets of Legend set by World Works Games. World Works Games is a company that makes printable terrain and they have many different settings including fantasy, modern, sci-fi and even full-scale role-playing items. Their terrain system is supposed to be printed on card stock and then can be folded up when not in use but I like a more stable setup for my terrain so I mount the cardstock on foam core.

Victory Force Miniature

There are many different ways to base miniatures and after trying out a bunch of them I've come up with a way that is pretty easy to do and is quick but still looks good on the table.

Free Paper Buildings

I recently ran across this website Model Paper World. It has paper models of just about everything from buildings like IKEA and Andy's Guns from the movie Dawn of the Dead to office furniture and dumpsters. The items range from modern to Sci-Fi and even has a space ship and a zeppelin to build. The best part of the website is that all these models are free to download. I made this one and it only took me a couple of hours while I watched TV in the background.

28mm Barbed Wire Tutorial

I decided I needed to make some barbed wire for 28mm gaming for both World Wars and beyond. I did not have much trouble with this project and I consider myself an amateur at best. This build comes down to time. As they say time is money. Not counting drying times this took me about 4 hours which I don't think is too bad. I could have bought ready to go barbed wire but I enjoy creating terrain as much as I enjoy war gaming.

Chalk Outline for The Department Turorial

The third mission in The Department has you investigating a murder and you need a chalk outline to mark the location of the body. I took a base I had bought from Litko, painted it black and hand-painted a white outline of a body. In all, it took me about 10 minutes and about 25 cents and I'm pretty happy with the results.
