Today for review I have NECA's Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Signature Edition Renet. She is part of NECA's Mirage Comic Book line of action figures and is #2 in the series. This action figure was released in 2022 at 35 dollars.
NECA released this action figure in two varieties, a red regular edition, and a blue Wal-Mart Signature Edition. In the comics, she was wearing blue so I don't understand why NECA released an incorrect red version and made it the default version.
You can tell that people weren't fans of the red one because it's always on sale. The last time I saw it in stores it was on clearance for 20 dollars which is nearly half of its original cost.
For accessories, Renet has some options. She has three total sets of hands, her blue helmet, a cape with wire inside so you can pose it, a second head with her hair showing with a hood to put around her neck, a dagger, a scroll, and the head of Lord Simultaneous, and the sceptre.
The only thing that I do not like about this action figure is the paint slop. The figure is fine but the cape has some black marks near the neck hole. While not a deal breaker, this is a bummer.
I'm very taken with this action figure. I couldn't care less for the red one but I really like this blue one. It's very authentic to how she's depicted in the comic book. I got this figure for 35 dollars through NECA's 12 Days of Christmas promotion so I didn't have to pay scalper prices. I give this Signature Edition of Renet a 10 out of 10!
