Hello and welcome to Game 89 of my 2012 Strat-O-Matic New York Yankees season replay. Today the Yankees play the final game of a three-game series against their division rival the Boston Red Sox. The series is tied at two games which makes this game the tiebreaker.

In 16 starts this season Kuroda has pitched 134 games while giving up 124 hits, 30 walks, 94 strikeouts for an ERA of 3.50 this season. The Red Sox have Felix Doubront (5-8) pitching today who has started 19 games this season and pitched 99 innings while giving up 93 hits, 44 walks, 98 strikeouts for an ERA fo 4.53 this season. It looks like the Yankees should have a good shot at the win today and taking the series from the Red Sox.
