Knuckleduster Miniatures Cowboy Faction Part 1 Painted

I've finished painting the first three cowboys from Knuckleduster Miniature's Cowboy Faction pack. The three minis are from left to right; Curly Bill Brocius, Frank McLaury, and Johnny Ringo. This set, which also includes Tom McLaury, Billy Clanton, and Ike Clanton are the guys who fought the Earps at the O.K. Corral.

Curly Bill Brocius

I'm a big fan of the film Tombstone (1993) and this set and the Earps set have been sculpted from how the characters look in the film. After purchasing these guys I realized that they are 28mm but Knuckleduster's Gunfighter's Ball miniatures are 32mm and since it seems that this is the scale they are more interested in I would have bought them instead.

As you can see these guys look very nice, I painted them in my quick and easy method; prime, paint all the colors, then a little wash to get some darkness into the cracks followed by some touching up and minor highlighting. I've varnished them and are ready for the table but I haven't added any static grass like I normally do. I was going to put some standard green grass in but when you see westerns most of them have no grass or dried out yellow so I believe that is how I'm going to finish these guys.

Once I"m finished painting the last three from this set I should have enough minis for a skirmish in Six Gun Sound. I still need to build a little more terrain and I should be good. Stay tuned for the last three minis and hopefully, I'll get to game with them soon!
