He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Magazine - Summer 1987 Review

During the prime of  He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe in the 1980s, I was very young without my own money so I could only get things if my parents would buy them for me. At the time my parents didn't have a ton of money and if I was allowed to pick something out at the store I would go for a new action figure every time compared to a magazine, that is until I grew up a bit and started to read more. Because of this I never had any of the MOTU magazines from the 80s but I know for a fact if I'd seen this issue at the stores I would have begged for it since it had the movie He-Man on the cover.

Hello and welcome to the first War Patrol of the USS Narwhal (SS-167), a brand new submarine that is a new class of submarines based upon a modified Tambor class submarine. We've been playing the War Patrols of the USS Tambor but I've stopped those missions for now since they survived to 1943 and I'm planning on playing each submarine one year at a time so today we begin the USS Narwhal.

Blog Update August 2021

Hello all, I'm back. With a combination of health problems and issues in my personal life, I just haven't had time to play any games or work on this blog but I hope to change that starting now.

I've bought some action figures that I need to review. I also bought some new stuff for Wings Of Glory since Ares Games has just re-released items that have been sold out for years so if you're interested in any of them I'd buy it now before they're sold out again and the prices explode.

After my last dogfight when I went up against a two-seater I decided I wanted to flight sortie behind the stick of one so I picked my new American Airco DH4 that I got in the other day I will be flying against an even newer plane, a German Roland C.IIA which will be flying using the solo rules developed by Herkybird of the Tyneside Wargamers website.
