Masters Of The Universe 40th Anniversary Masterverse He-Man Review

 

Last year, and apparently this year as well, Mattel is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Masters Of The Universe franchise with this new action figure. Until this purchase, I hadn't bought any of the action figures from Mattel's Masterverse toy line so I'm on new ground, let's see what I think of this new He-Man.

After their last War Patrol, the Porpoise has been in dock for the previous month being refit for their next patrol. The newly promoted Expert Pharmacist's Mate is onboard and ready to go.

Wings Of Glory Video Game Reconnaissance Mission AAR #2

 

Today I'm playing a Reconnaissance Mission with the video game based on the Wings Of Glory Board Game.  I will need to fly a two-person plane over the area to be filmed and perform a stall so the passenger can take a picture of the area and then escape before being shot down.

I will be flying a Sopwith Camel as a defender of my Airco DH.4 which is a two-seater that will take the pictures. Both of these planes add up to 215 points used. The enemy will be flying two Fokker D.VIIs with one piloted by ACE Rudolf Stark (Purplish Plane) and the second D.VII will be piloted by ACE Gotthard Sachsenberg (Yellow Plane).

For today's game, the Yankees have their ace Hiroki Kuroda (18-8) starting today. In 28 starts this season Kuroda has thrown 215 innings while allowing 206 hits, 46, walks, and 151 strikeouts for an ERA of 3.81, Going against Kuroda the Blue Jays have Kyle Drabek (1-2) on the mound. In 4 games started this season, Drabek has thrown 20 innings while giving up 20 hits, 17 walks, and 19 strikeouts for an ERA of 7.78.

After a month of refit and resupply, the Porpoise is ready to ship out for their 3rd War Patrol. The Brass orders Lt. Commander Callaghan to make their way to the Philippines and patrol the area on the lookout for Japanese ships to sink.

On August 30th, Mattel announced that they would be releasing a movie He-Man and Skeletor action figures from the Masterverse toy line. These will be the second modern action figures based on the 1987 movie.
