Cubs Win!

My brother and I took my mom to Boston to see the Red Sox play the Cubs. Steven Wright was on the mound for Boston today which was cool because I've never seen a knuckleballer pitch before. The game turned into a slugfest with a total of five home runs hit.

Hanley Ramirez crushed a pitch off John Lackey that easily sailed over the Green Monster, as soon as the ball left the bat there was no question that it was gone.

I don't know if it's because the Cubs won the World Series last year but there were tons of Chicago fans at the game, so many that there were more cheers for the Cubs than there were for the Red Sox. It felt very strange.

There were many more Win flags than I thought there would be.

For a Saturday afternoon game, I thought there would be more children at the game. I did see this kid that was loving the game with his ear muffs on.

Overall it was a great game and a lot of fun. In another month or two, I don't remember when, we've got tickets to see the Cubs in New York against the Mets. Depending on how my mom's cancer treatment goes we are hoping to catch a game in Chicago. Happy Baseball!!
