As we can see Bobby Ojeda is have a stellar year. He has 3 more wins the David Cone, the second most strikeouts with 144 with only a few more innings pitched then Cone or Gooden. David Cone is also having a great year with 14 wins and the lowest ERA at 1.85! and the most strikeouts at 160. Dwight Gooden and Sid Fernandez are both doing pretty good as well. Most teams would be happy to have a pitcher win 13 games after 100 games. Ron Darling is having a pretty bad year with 4 wins and 6 losses in 16 starts. He has a 3.97 ERA, the worst of the starting pitchers and only 67 strikeouts when all the other starters have over 100. He does have less innings pitched but lots of that is because of him being pulled earlier than the other pitchers.
On the hitting side we can see that Greg Jefferies is having a great year with a 352 batting average, 91 RBIs and 30 home runs. In real life Jefferies had a great year but he didn't play him in as many games keeping his numbers pretty low. Kevin McReynolds is having a great year as well with a 323 batting average and a 962 OPS with 78 RBIs and 23 home Runs. Darryl Strawberry has been struggling a bit, his average isn't too bad at 263 but 23 home runs is a bit low for his real life total which was 39, a career high. Everyone else is fairly close to their real life totals. A handful of Strat games came have an outcome different than in real life but the more games you play the more the stats line up to real life giving you a great chance to recreate a season with the players playing to a level they did in real life leaving the managerial decisions up to you to see if you can do better.
At 100 games Bobby Ojeda could be in the running to win the Cy Young Award and Greg Jefferies could be the NL MVP and possibly win the Triple Crown. Stay tuned to see how the rest of their season goes!
