Let's Play Minecraft On Xbox Episode 5

I've been having more fun playing Minecraft on my Xbox One. The maps are huge and if you climb up a mountain you can see so much more. I've been having some great adventures in the world of Minecraft and I'm inviting you to tag alone with me.

If you missed Episode 4 please click this link.

A few days ago I was doing some exploring and I came across a village with villagers everywhere. I was very happy because now I don't have to do a ton of work to make villagers like I did in earlier Episodes. I hung out with them for a few days doing some trading and looking around the area. Of course I didn't write down where their village is. I then set off  for my home to tend to a few things. When I was done I took my horse Elmer and set off for the village again. Unfortunately my horse could not make it through the dense forest and I brought him back home and I set off by myself.

On my trip to the village I thought that I would build a road to my house and the village so I could get to both locations on my horse. Well I couldn't for the life of me find that village. Night sets and arrogant me figures that I'm tough and can deal with any mob that comes my way. Of course I get killed almost immediately and am sent all the way back to my house. I'm not sure how long your stuff will sit there after you're killed so run as fast as I can to get back to it. I finally make it and I collect all my gear. So I then set out again and get even more lost because then before. I couldn't even find the spot where I was just killed not to mention the village or my house.

Now it was getting dark again and I had no idea where I was so I decided to build a little house and then start to dig down hoping to find some redstone. I don't know what happened to my map so I needed the redstone to craft a new one. On any other day when I'd go mining I would find so much redstone that I'd have no where to put it. The time I need it I can't find anything to save my life. Eventually I came across a cave and I found some redstone.

Here's My Redstone

In the end I had to make six iron pickaxes and a few shovels to find it. I did mine a decent amount of iron and coal which will come in handy. Now that I have everything I need I built my map I took a picture of the location in case I need to come back.

So I continue on in my quest to find my home. I was walking around for a couple days, minecraft days, with no success. I did see some cool things in my journey though. Just before I stopped for the night and make a camp to protect myself I noticed some light in the distance and I was hopping it was my house. When I get to it instead of finding my house I find a lava pit in the middle of the forest that had set some of the trees on fire.

I thought I was pretty cool looking and after finding this pit I was energized and decided to forgo sleep and continue looking. I make it to the top of a mountain and what do I see in the distance?

In this picture you can see the that lava tree fire is growing.

I continue on in the search for my house. I'm walking through a dense forest when I look just ahead from where I was going to step.

I don't think this fall would be survivable.
At this point I decided to take a break for awhile. I do know one way to get back to my house but it's pretty much cheating. I also was thinking of starting a new colony in the area where I was lost and after it's going good I would go find my original house. If you want to find out what happens next read Episode 6.
