To start off my 1988 Strat-O-Matic replay the Mets will be playing three games in Montreal against the Expos. If you didn't read about my Replay you can click here to see about the rules and whatnot.
Game 1 : New York Mets vs Montreal Expos

In the Mets first game of the year they beat the Expos 10 to 8. The Mets starter was Dwight Gooden who went 7 innings giving up 14 hits, 6 K's, 3 BB's, 3 Earned Runs with an ERA of 10.29. Randy Meyers came in for relief in the 8th inning and threw 2 innings giving up 1 hit, 3 K's, 0 BB, and 0 runs giving him a win.
Greg Jefferies hit the Mets first home run of the season and drove in 2 RBIs and went 1 for 5. Wally Backman went 3 for 5 driving in 2 RBIs. Kevin Elster hit 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and Lenny Dykstra went 1 for 5 with 1 RBI.
For the Expos Dennis Martinez started and went 7 innings giving up 10 hits, 3 Ks, 1 BB and 5 Earned Runs with an ERA of 6.43. Tim Burke came in for the 8th inning and threw for 2 innings giving up 4 hits, 0 Ks, 0 BB and gave up 3 runs for an ERA of 13.50 and earned the loss.
Tim Raines and Mike Fitzgerald both hit home runs and Andres Galarraga went 3 for 5 and drove in 3 runs.
Tom Foley of the Expos suffered a serious injury during this game and will miss the next 15 games.
Mike Fitzgerald of the Expos also suffered an injury but will only miss 3 games.
Game 2 : New York Mets @ Montreal Expos

The Mets second game was also a win against the Expos. David Cone started for the Mets and threw 7 1/3 innings, striking out 4, walking 3, giving up 6 hits and 3 earned runs for an ERA of 3.68. Roger McDowell came in for relief and threw 1 2/3 innings with 1 K, 0 BB, giving up 1 hit and 0 runs for an ERA of 0.00. Randy Meyers came in for the ninth inning throwing 1 inning with 1 K, 0 BB, giving up 1 hit and 0 runs for an ERA of 0.00 as well as getting the win.
On the offence side Darryl Strawberry hit his first 2 home runs and drove in a total of 3 RBIs.
The Expos starter was Pascual Perez and he went 9 innings with 6 hits, 6 K's, 2 BBs, giving up 3 earned runs for an ERA of 3.00. Tim Burke pitched in the 10th inning for 1 inning giving up 0 hits, 1 K, 2 BBs and surrendering 0 Earned Runs for an ERA of 0.00.
Game 3 : New York Mets @ Montreal Expos

The Mets win their third game against the Expos sweeping them. The Mets starter was Bobby Ojeda who threw a complete game and gave up 6 hits, 6 Ks, 1 BB, giving up 1 Earned Run for an ERA of 1.00 which gives him his first win of the season.
Gary Carter went 1 for 4 and drove in 2 runs. Kevin McReynolds went 3 for 5 with a single, double and a triple just missing the home run for the cycle and drove in 1 run. Wally Backman went 2 for 3 with a single and double.
The Expos starter was Neal Heaton who went 6 innings and gave up 8 hits, 3 Ks, 1 BB and giving up 5 Earned Runs for an Era of 7.50 earning him the loss. Andy McGaffigan threw 2 innings of relief giving up 2 hits, 2 Ks, 3 BB, and 1 Earned Run for an ERA of 4.50. Tim Burke threw 1 inning in the 9th giving up 2 hits, 1 K, 0 BB, and 0 Earned Runs for an ERA of 0.00
The Mets have started the season off with a sweep of the Expos putting their record for the season at 2-1 and the Expos record at 0-3.
