Let's Play Minecraft On Xbox Episode 7

Welcome to Episode 7 of my Xbox One Minecraft world. I mentioned last episode that I'm going to start a new project and I've decided on not one but two.

Click here if you missed Episode 6.

In my original world I had spent a considerable amount of time mining for lots of different materials so I would have ample to work with. Since my two projects are going to need a lot of stone, among other things, I had to go down to the basement and start mining. I spent about a week of my Minecraft time mining and nothing else.

I would mine and put the cobblestone into the furnace to get both stone and XP. Each time I would hit level 30 I would enchant something, mostly pickaxes. When you use lapus to enchant you only lose 3 levels so you can enchant a lot more than you could before. I still don't like the fact that what you get is totally random, I've got a bunch of pickaxes that have silk touch that do me no good. Once I had gathered what I though would be enough I went to work on my first project. As I mentioned previously I got lost in the woods and couldn't find my way back so I have decided to build a road.

It doesn't look like much but it's taken quite a bit of work. I've had to cut through forests and I hit one that was incredibly dense.

I'd gone so far from my regular house that I had to build a small shack that I can sleep at and store extra materials. Once I had build a pretty long strip I decided that I would edit the road and put a third block down the middle and have a rail system that can be used instead of on foot or horses. I had to do a lot of work to implement my change. I also realized the road would have to be lit so I've had to rip up more of my work to add some pumpkins. Always plan out what you want to accomplish and you'll save yourself a lot of hassle.

My old pal Mr. Creeper followed me down the road.
After all my design changes I got back to work and before too long I realized, to my horror, that this project was going to take a considerable more stone than I thought it would. I'm just about out and I haven't reached the village that I was looking for so I'm going to have to do some more mining for materials but that's fine because that's the name of the game. When I have the road finished I will start on the other project. Truthfully I'm probably going to work on both at the same time as I tend to burn out working on one thing for too long.

Particularly after hitting this water that I'll have to build across.

Well that's all for today, see you next time!
