Hello and welcome to Game 63 of my 2012 Strat-O-Matic New York Yankees season replay. Today the Yankees play game two of a three-game subway series against the New York Mets at Yankee Stadium.

Phil Hughes (3-4) gets the start for the Yankees today, in 72 innings this season Hughes has allowed 83 hits, 15 walks, 46 strikeouts for an ERA of 5.23. The Mets have their ace on the mound today in R.A. Dickey (7-4) who in 14 starts this season has pitched 99 innings, given up 87 hits, 26 walks, and 107 strikeouts for an ERA of 2.46. (In the real 2012 season RA Dickey won the NL Cy Young Award.)
