Hello and welcome to Game 79 of my 2012 Strat-O-Matic New York Yankees season replay. Today the Yankees play game three of a three-game series against the 4th place Cleveland Indians.
If you missed the Yankees previous game you can click here for Game 78. In the last game of this series against the Indians the Yankees will have Derek Lowe (4-5) on the mound. Lowe has pitched 71 innings in 12 starts while giving up 92 hits, 32 walks, and 35 strikeouts for an ERA of 5.68. I don't set the rosters for the opposing teams so don't blame me but somehow the game started Justin Masterson (5-5) who pitched yesterday's Game 78 for the Indians. I didn't catch the error until after the game when it was too late to fix. Masterson has started 20 games and pitched 112 innings while giving up 101 hits, 58 walks, and 89 strikeouts for an ERA of 3.68 on the season.
