Hello and welcome to Game 76 of my 2012 Strat-O-Matic New York Yankees season replay. After sweeping the Mets in three games the Yankees welcome the Cleveland Indians to Yankee Stadium for a three-game series. This series is the first meeting of these two teams this season. So far in 2012, the Indians are (30-41) which is good for 4th place and 15 games out of first place in the AL Central.

In 13 starts and 104 innings pitched this season Sabathia has allowed 90 hits, 26 walks, 98 strikeouts for an ERA of 3.54. The Indian's starter today is Jeanmar Gomez (3-4) who has started 11 games this season and pitched 56 innings while giving up 68 hits, 13 walks, and 28 strikeouts for an ERA of 5.63.
