Dwight Gooden (15-6) earned a win today for the Mets in 7 innings pitched. Gooden gave up 4 hits, 4 strikeouts, 2 walks and 1 Earned Run for an ERA of 1.29. Randy Meyers came in and pitched the last 2 innings striking out 2 and earning a save.
Darryl Strawberry lead the Mets offense going 1 for 3 with a walk and an RBI triple. Kevin McReynolds was 1 for 4 with an RBI double.

It was a slug fest for the Mets today with the team getting 18 hits. Greg Jefferies was 3 for 8 with 2 singles and a double. Mookie Wilson was also 3 for 8 with an RBI. Kevin Elster was 3 for 8 with 2 singles and a double.
