New Minecraft Upgrade For Xbox and Playstation

A new update for Minecraft was released on December 18, 2015 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. A lot of things that have been missing from the computer version of the game have now been integrated into the console version of Minecraft.

Game play wise the biggest change, at least for me, is that crafting is done in the same way as it is on the computer. I'm not to happy about this because I've always have played Minecraft on the console and I don't know what is needed for each different item I want to craft. Now I'm going to have to look around online on how to craft anything I want to create.

They have also added a bunch of new critters like rabbits, Chicken Jockeys, Endermite, Guardian and Elder Guardian. Other than a rabbit I don't have a clue what any of these things are but I'm looking forward to finding out. A bunch of fish have been added as well including puffer fish. I also read that most mobs can swim now so be careful when you're out for a moonlight swim.

I'm happy that armor stands have been implemented. A bunch of new blocks including granite, red sand and sponge have been added too. We also have a bunch of new biomes added including Mesa, Mega Taiga, Roofed Forest, Birch Forest, Forest, Savanna, Extreme Hills, Deep Ocean and Snowless Taiga. Unfortunately to use any of these I would have to give up my current world.

There are a few changes to enchanting, the biggest being that you can use lapis lazuli instead of XP to enchant with. This will be great for me because I have a ton of lapis sitting around doing nothing.

There are a lot of other changes and the best way to find them out is to go out and play Minecraft.
