Star Trek II The Wrath Of Khan Captain Terrell 25mm Miniature by Fasa

I've always loved the film Star Trek 2 The Wrath Of Khan and always was intrigued by the miniature ships that were released by Fasa as part of this line. I didn't know at the time that there was also a pen and paper RPG that also had miniatures made for the movie. I've been collecting these guys over the years, they aren't too expensive (the people, not the ships) but some can be hard to find including Captain Terrell.

I finally found one the other day that was brand new on the card and paid ten dollars including shipping for him so I was pretty pleased. It is much easier to find these minis still carded, everyone I've bought that didn't come out of a box was carded. Captain Terrell has been the one I've had little luck finding at an affordable price. Almost anything of any rarity can be purchased for the right price but up until today, I haven't seen one for a price I was comfortable with paying.

I received Captain Terrell in the mail today and I'm mostly happy. Even as I clicked on his purchase I felt a bit bad because I knew that as soon as he came in I would be removing him from his near 40-year slumber in his plastic paradise. Fortunately for me, the good Captain suffered some shipping damage and when I removed the card from the box it came in the Captain's upper torso was stuffed through the top of the card. What is even more confusing is that he was packaged pretty well in a box that hadn't suffered any damage. I also rechecked the auction and it is the same one that I bought so I really don't know what happened to him during shipping. Luckily I was going to remove him from his packaging anyway but if I wasn't I would have been pretty upset.

I also wanted to point out that the picture of Captain Terrell that they used on the packaging is very funny, it looks like the scene when he kills himself with his phaser. There were about one hundred different shots they could have used that were more dignified than this one.

I'm actively painting up some of these miniatures and I've also bought more than just the Captain so look forward to more in the future from the Fasa world of Star Trek.
