Dwight Gooden (13-4) earned the win today in a complete game. Gooden gave up 8 hits, walked 3, struck out 9 and surrendered 1 Earned Run for an ERA of 1.00.
Kevin McReynolds went 4 for 5 today. Lenny Dykstra was 2 for 4 with a walk, a double and a 2 run home run. Greg Jefferies was 2 for 3 with a walk and a 3 run home run.

Greg Jefferies scored the Mets only run with a solo home run which was his only at bat. Darryl Strawberry hit a double in 4 trips to the plate.
Keith Hernandez committed an error for the Mets at first.
