Hello and welcome to Game 109 of my 2012 Strat-O-Matic New York Yankees season replay. Today the Yankees begin a new three-game series against the West Coast Seattle Mariners at Yankee Stadium.

In 19 starts this season Sabathia has thrown 151 innings while surrendering 128 hits, 37 walks, 141 strikeouts, and an ERA of 3.40. On the mound for the Mariners today is Jason Vargas (8-9) who has started 24 games while throwing 114 innings and allowing 112 hits, 38 walks, 73 strikeouts, and an ERA of 3.19. Both pitchers look to be pretty evenly matchmaking this a good game.
