Al Nipper was the Cubs last pitcher going 1/3 innings giving up 1 hit, 1 K, 1 BB and 1 Earned Run for an ERA of 27.00.
Rafael Palmeiro went 3 for 5 with a solo home run. Ryne Sandberg was 2 for 5 with a 2 run home run and a stolen base.

Kevin McReynolds made an error for the Mets.
